Edward R Button Jr.
President & CEO
Edward was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania and currently resides in Mountaintop with his wife Briana and two children. After graduating from high school Edward joined the family business as a HVAC Technician. He then transitioned to the delivery and transportation of petroleum products. In 2011 Amanda, Robert and Himself acquired Button Oil Company Inc. They concentrated on diversifying into other energy products and lines of business. Edward then managed the organic growth of Button Oil and Propane with successfully completing four acquisitions. With the growing momentum in Button Oil and Propane, Edward set a new goal with his partners to develop a company to acquire businesses in other industries. This is when Button Holdings was born with the focus to develop a strong management team with a broad background while continuing to acquire. As the president of Button Holdings he is excited to focus on the current lines of business and integrate additional in the years to come.
Robert Button
Vice President
Robert was born and raised in Northeastern PA, currently residing in Mountaintop with his wife Allison and three children. After graduating from college with a degree in criminal justice he worked for the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department then a short stint with the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. It didn’t take long for him to realize the law enforcement field was not what he truly wanted in life. He decided to join his family business working for his Father, Uncle and Grandmother at Button Oil & Propane in Mountaintop where he performed most jobs within the company. Through the years Robert and his two cousins would acquire the business from the prior generations. He is currently Vice-President of the holdings company which oversees their family of businesses. He also has been fortunate enough to be able to practice real estate alongside the family business and has found success there for over 15 years through a strong network and referral group. He is a multiyear member of the million dollar seller club and has plans to obtain his brokers license in the near future.
Amanda L. Moyer
Secretary
Amanda L. Moyer began working in Button Oil Company Inc, as a sophomore in high school. Upon graduating from Crestwood High School in 2003, She attended Pennsylvania College of Technology and received and Associated of Science in HVAC Technologies. While still helping with in the family business while attending college, upon graduation, she continued working in the HVAC service division. As dynamics of the business would change over the years, she oversaw a broad list of activities from installing boilers, air conditioners, plumbing, to human resources and payroll tasks, and fuel taxes. She and her partners acquired Blue Ridge Travel Plaza, in 2013. She is concentrating on improving the day-to-day process and updating the property.
She started a family in 2013 with my high school sweetheart, Jeff, we welcomed our first daughter, Myla. Four years later, we welcomed our second daughter, Maisy. Her and her family are happy to call NEPA there home.
Brett Shoemaker
Chief Acquisitions and Intelligence Officer
Brett became a member of the Button Oil & Propane team in 2017. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, he received his bachelor's degree in Business from Lycoming College and his graduate work at The Pennsylvania State University. After beginning his career as a business analyst, he developed a diverse background in operations, logistics, finance, quality & sales. After receiving his Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification in 2000, Brett moved into a plant manager role for RR Donnelley & Sons and later relocated to operate a plant in Dallas, Texas.
Upon returning to Pennsylvania, Brett held multiple director level roles for Pride Mobility, a medical device manufacturer located in Luzerne County. After being referred to Button Oil as a consultant, he was so impressed with the company, he joined the team as VP of Operations. A few years later when Button Holdings was formed, Brett accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer, a role he currently holds with the company.
An avid sports fan, Brett enjoys golfing, basketball and football, when not spending time with his family.
Edward J. Conway Jr.
Chief Financial Officer
Ed brings to Button over 45+ years of financial and operational experience derived from regional, national and international organizations. He has served as Chief Financial Officer in company’s ranging from manufacturing, telecommunications, construction/real estate development as well as logistics and wholesale distribution. Ed has extensive experience in acquisitions, turn-arounds, divestitures and start-ups.
Received his BA from City University of New York (CUNY) and MBA from Wilkes University. Served as Chairman of the Wilkes Barre Development Corp. and as a member of the Executive Board of the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry. Currently serves on the National Panel of Construction and Commercial Neutrals of the American Arbitration Association.
Ed resides in Mountain Top, PA with his wife Dorothy.
Tasha Laudenslager
Human Resources Director
Tasha joined the Button team in late December of 2022. Born and raised in North Carolina, she received her bachelor’s degree in Communications Training & Development from Western Carolina University. A year after graduating college and working as a High School Special Education Teacher, she moved to Wilkes-Barre, PA and started her career in Human Resources as a HR Consultant for the Business Alliance. In 2005, after working as the HR Consultant for a year, she was directly hired by Mercy Center Nursing Unit, Inc. as their HR Director.
In 2010, Tasha obtained her Master’s in Organizational Management with a focus in Human Resources from Misericordia University. She brings over 20 years of experience in all aspects of Human Resources.
Tasha resides in Kingson, PA.
